Sharing data through OSF
===
**Overview**. In the iSPEX 2 field validation, collaborators will share data they collect through the OSF Storage (*Files* on the webpage menu bar): https://osf.io/357bk/files/osfstorage). The OSF storage will serve as a Deposit box, and shared data will then be backed-up on PMLs' linux system. The OSF provides 50 GB of online storage, which is greater than 300 sets of iSPEX 2 reflectance data.

**Folder and file structure**. Within OSF Storage there is a master data folder *OSF_Storage/aquatic-rrs-validation-campaign* which contains sub-folders: *ipsex-data* and *reference-data* where iSPEX 2 (sets collected by the app) and reference data
(co-incident radiometry data) are to be deposited respectively.

Within ipsex-data and reference-data sub folders, a collaborator should make a sub folder for their institute and cruise (format: *YourInsitute_YourCruise*). Within this folder data should then be deposited in subfolders arranged by date: (format: *YYYYMMDD*). An example for PML is shown within
*PML_Quest2025*.

It is easiest to deposit the iSPEX data as a compressed zip file, which contains all the measurement sets collected on a given date (refer to PML example). Practically, collaborators need to create this zip file them selves by collating measurement sets which they have uploaded to their Dropbox account through the iSPEX 2 app (see final section of Guide to the iSPEX app).
